For a number of years, Silhouette Cruises have offered sailing cruises around the Seychelles archipelago. Their Seychelles cruises are a luxurious experience and their ships successfully pioneered the concept of combining the romanticism of a bygone cruising era with modern-day comforts.

The Sailing Yacht Sea Star is a lovely custom built, 3-masted schooner with 5 modern Bermuda sails. Her sister, Sea Bird, the newest addition to the fleet, is a sleek 2-masted sailing yacht with 4 modern Bermuda sails. Both Silhouette boats make sailing the Seychelles a unique and relaxing experience.

Both yachts comprise 9 cabins with en-suite showers and w/c, salon and dining area. On deck, there are spacious areas for sunbathing, relaxing and dining. For the more energetic and for a unique Seychelles cruise experience, the yachts have canoes, snorkelling equipment, water skis, tubes, windsurfers and fishing equipment. The ships provide easy access to the water from their back swimming platforms. Both ships are PADI rated dive centres and carry dive tanks and equipment as well as a dive compressor.

Fitted with modern comforts and the most up-to-date navigational equipment, Sea Star and Sea Bird Seychelles cruises can easily negotiate the inner islands of the Seychelles as well as ply the open ocean.

CRUISE ITINERARY

Friday
Evening departure on Air Seychelles from London Heathrow.

Saturday
Arrive Mahe and transfer to the inter-island quay. After a welcome and briefing by the Captain, depart for Round Island off Praslin. Evening welcome barbecue.

Sunday
Morning of snorkelling and diving. Afternoon sailing to Bay Ste Anne Jetty, Praslin, which is Seychelles second largest inhabited island. Guests may disembark to visit Vallee De Mai Nature Reserve, a World Heritage site.

Monday
Early morning departure toward La Digue island. After lunch, visit La Digue, home to the Seychelles Paradise Flycatcher and beaches reputed to be the most beautiful in the world. Explore La Digue by oxcart or on bicycle.

Tuesday
Sail during breakfast to Grand Soeur and Petite Soeur for a visit to these unique uninhabited tropical islands - excellent for snorkelling and diving. Afternoon sail to Coco Island, one of Seychelles' little jewels.

Wednesday
Sail to Booby Island for diving and water sports in the morning. After lunch, sail to Aride Island for an afternoon exploration of the nature reserve.

Thursday
Sail to Curieuse Island for a visit through the mangrove forests and the giant tortoise conservation project. The afternoon will be dedicated your preferred leisure pursuits.

Friday
After breakfast sail towards Mahe island, stopping en-route at Ile Seche for the last opportunity to snorkel or dive and a farewell barbecue. Arrive Mahe at Port Victoria.

Saturday
Morning disembarkation and transfer to the Wharf Hotel (or similar) where a day room has been reserved until your late evening transfer to the airport. Depart on Air Seychelles arriving London Heathrow Sunday morning.
